4-day Yoga, Meditation, Self-Inquiry and Creative Practice Retreat with Kelly Blaser

Recognizing the Light Beneath Pattern
A Dharma of Awareness Retreat
with Kelly Blaser in Tepoztlán, Mexico

October 25 - 29, 2024

Come to Mexico with us!

Experience the radical power of convening with others in a beautiful
Tepoztlán. We'll gather for 4 nights in the mountains just outside Mexico City for Yoga, Meditation, Dharma Teachings, Breathwork, and more.

Come reconnect to the innate curiosity, compassion, and awake-ness that is true nature. Can't wait to be with you!

HERE'S HOW:

Explore New Practices

Write & Create

Be Reflected

Adventure

Meditation, Yoga Asana, and other specific breathing practices from the Śaiva Tantra will support us to settle the nervous system and access deep peace. Group work and creative practices will open up self-inquiry and curiosity about our human experience.
All levels are welcome and we'll help you find a practice that works for you, no matter where you're at! New insights will emerge, new skills will be built. Retreat is an essential part of opening deeper levels of intimacy with ourselves and LIFE, allowing us to grow into who we most deeply are.

We are radically creative beings; we just get blocked when conditions are not right. On this retreat you'll spend time in both silence and creativity, engaging in writing practices and intuitive art. Everyone has different desires for retreat and your preferences will be respected! The radical non-dual Dharma teachings of the Buddha Dharma will support you to release self-criticism and perfectionism, and center you in presence and compassion. The teachings of the non-dual Śaiva Tantra, which hold that creativity is our deepest essence, will support you to open up and play!

Be held and reflected by an insightful, clear community (sangha). While much of our work is in the interior, the reflection of others is essential. You'll get to practice Antenna Listening, our signature method for reflecting each other with compassion.
When we are reflected by those whose intention is to embody metta (loving-kindness) on behalf of all beings, we can suddenly see our selves clearly, which opens up radical self-acceptance as well as total possibility. Through the process we uncover real insight into how conditioning operates, and how to navigate back to creative essence.

Immerse yourself in practice against the backdrop of breathtaking landscapes, allowing the natural beauty to enrich and inspire you. The gorgeous vistas and stimuli of a beautiful small town in Mexico will encourage us to open up our creative essence and release old baggage. Explore the vibrant local culture and savor authentic Mexican cuisine to nourish your mind, body, and soul. Just a 2 hour cab ride (around $50) from Mexico City, our retreat home is nestled amidst lush green mountains and ancient Aztec ruins. We have capacity for 10 guests on site and 6 at an alternate home closeby. Tepoztlán beckons with its enchanting charm!

My intention for this retreat...

This retreat will give us a plethora of support for self-inquiry. We're not just sitting silently on this retreat. Our practices include:

  • yoga
  • meditation and breathwork
  • intuitive writing
  • creative play
  • somatics (embodied inquiry practices)
  • interactive Antenna Listening exercises.

We'll also move through insights from the non-dual Śaiva tradition, specifically from the Heart of Recogntion Sutras.

We'll work from the perspective that we are already full and complete, and yet we all have undigested material that keeps us from being our full selves.

If in any way you've lost ground in your practice, have left parts of yourself behind, or have given up on creative endeavors, come! Open up to the insights of the heart. Transform your sense of yourself, recommit to inner leadership, and bring peace to your life.

This retreat is for you if...

  • You want to learn more about yourself and how to get free. You want to explore inner leadership in the context of the dharma teachings, especially those that center radical self-acceptance and the realization of true nature.
  • You are a householder, not a monk. You live in the world and life is full. You want to unhook and unplug for a bit, so you can return to the flow of daily life with authentic metta in your heart. You want to deepen your practices, so you can meet the challenges of life with equanimity, faith, compassion, and empathy.
  • You are drawn to inner work, and aware of the unparalleled benefits that come from linking our practices together and connecting with sangha (community).
  • You're interested in the blend of creative practices with more formal practice. You're open to participating in a lot of what is on offer, knowing you have the freedom to skip some sessions. We'll intersperse dharma teachings with writing exercises, somatic work, gentle yoga, and silent sitting.

Dharma of Awareness Retreat with Kelly Blaser
in Tepoztlán, Mexico

October 25 - 29, 2024

Kelly Blaser is the founder of DharmaBridge and a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with an emphasis in Buddhism, Śaiva and Śakta Tantra, and Somatic Psychology.

She is dedicated to the power of metta (loving-kindness) as the driver of access to reality, and thus true transformation at the personal and collective level. Her programs and courses focus largely on the power of applying the dharma to one's relationship with oneself and others. Kelly helps people train themselves in meditation, mindfulness practices, and compassionate self-inquiry, so they can gain freedom from conditioned mind, open up to possibility, and contribute to deep systems change at the level of the collective, for the benefit of all beings.

Kelly began yoga and sitting practice in 1989. She has taught yoga and meditation since 1997 and has been an MFT for over 12 years. She draws inspiration from the Zen, Vipassana, Vajrayana, Śaiva, and Śakta teachings, as well as from the wildness of nature.
